Firelake was selected as part of the design build team.  The project consisted of upgrading existing pneumatic controls to DDC, as well as integrating to an existing Carrier system.  This approach allowed them to have a complete building automation system without having to replace the existing system.  The project was a success and Firelake continues to provide service and support to the customer.

As a subcontractor to InDyne, Firelake provided planning, procurement, and installation of an integrated Electronic Security System (ESS) for 12+ facilities totaling over 50 secured areas. The ESS included comprehensive state-of-art Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control/Entry Control Equipment (ECE)
and Closed Circuit Television systems (CCTV) as well as additional infrastructure/communications equipment. Firelake provided professional, technically accurate engineering, design and installation support on time and according to contractual requirements for this effort. Firelake was instrumental in providing the accurate information in a dynamic environment and coordinating with the various stakeholders for the resolution of communications issues in order to remain on schedule and within budget. InDyne was extremely satisfied with Firelake’s high quality performance and efficient professionalism in assisting InDyne in meeting their contractual obligations and accomplishing their goals.

image003Firelake was responsible for the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation for several secured areas within the newly built 72,000 sq ft Training Support Center (TSC) facility to include the secure operations storage room, the shop areas, the training spaces and the administrative areas.  Firelake provided professional installation services and technically accurate as-built drawings on time and according to contractual requirements for this effort.  This task included system installation, system component acquisition, database configuration and functional operation testing.

The level of effort varies from installation of a single zone with intrusion detection equipment to a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) application, which includes a new Remote Status Monitor (RSM) workstation, Data Encryption System (DES), security zone intrusion detection devices, access control equipment & CCTV components. The Child Care Center integration for the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) gates & ICIDS installations for the newly renovated AAFES Post Exchange (PX) zones were also completed. All these tasks included system designs, system installation, system component acquisition, database configuration and functional operation testing.

image004As the prime contractor, Firelake conducted a Video Teleconferencing (VTC) upgrade project for a tenant organization at Fort Campbell, KY. Firelake was instrumental in coordinating with the various stakeholders for the installation which allowed reusing existing functional equipment while providing new equipment in order to enhance the user’s VTC capability.  All computers, monitors, microphones and networking devices were installed and configured to meet customer requirements and Army regulations while optimizing efficiency with the state-of-the-art arrangement. This task included system design, system installation, system component acquisition, system configuration and functional operation testing.

Firelake currently holds a service agreement with the City of Olathe and continues to work together on all the City of Olathe facilities.

The vestibule will be new construction and includes concrete foundation and floor slab, aluminum storefront system, columns, beams, trusses, soffit fascia and lay-in ceiling system and roofing system.
